BRING HIM HOME
is the inspiring new screenplay based on the powerful testimony
of a faithful wife who learned to wait on God to restore her totally broken marriage.
How Long would you endure to see your wayward spouse come to salvation?

For Connie, it was surviving through her husband abandoning her family over 30 times for months and months at a time over the course of 12 years, including multiple prison sentences.

Connie’s testimony was the most powerful we’ve ever read. Her writings have been spread around the world and have reached the hearts of audiences through The Above Rubies Magazine. Marriages have already been saved and some have even become pastors themselves because of the direct influence of Connie in their lives.

The impact is real, and it’s time to share this incredible story on film. We’ve been in development for over two years interviewing those involved in this incredible true story of God’s hand at work. We’ve begun writing the script, and plan to finish in 2017. Our mission field are the millions of theaters, televisions, tablets and devices, used daily by people all over the world that are hungry for hope. The hope that only the gospel can give.

“My marriage has a message:
If you don’t give up, you will see
The Glory of God.”

“As a young deserted wife with a child to raise,

I sensed something greater would come.”

The Story

Connie_web-2Set in Iowa in the 1970’s, the story begins with a reckless young girl who falls for a wild and suave con-artist, Jim, and after a month long fling she finds herself pregnant. She doesn’t know he’s been violating parole, and he suddenly turns himself in, informing her of his decision by writing her a letter. Soooo, she writes him a letter back, stating that she didn’t want to get married. Boy was he mad. So to prove his love, Jim executes a daring prison escape, but it didn’t end as planned. He fell asleep in farmer Zimmerman’s garden nearby, and was caught. You’d think all that excitement would keep him awake!

StrollerSnow3Regardless, his plan impresses her and she changes her mind and convinces the warden to let them have a prison wedding. After the birth of her child, she radically gives her life to Jesus and begins asking God to bring her husband home. Jim does come home, but in less than a year he turns back to his old ways of crime and leaves his young family without notice.

JimsPlate4Finding herself betrayed and perpetually abandoned with no explanation from her husband, Connie must learn to control the burning rage in her heart before it destroys her marriage. She begins to fight for her marriage harder than we’ve ever seen anyone do. She faithfully ran her home for the next 10 years, as if her husband was home, putting his plate at the head of the table in faith that she would receive her miracle.

Quotes

Each evening when my husband was gone I’d fix supper for him and put his plate at the head of the table. No one was allowed to sit in his chair and no one was allowed to bad mouth him. I ran the house as if he were home.

I didn’t live out of my circumstances but out of the Word of God. I had to live the life to write about the journey.
